As I utnnrsdaed it, Mr. Stogran is the first VA ombudsman, a post created by this government, which he has held for almost three years. If things are so terribly wrong with VA, and he has been there for three years, what exactly has he achieved. Sounds like nuthin’.And now that his contract is not being renewed, he decides to go public. He couldn’t possibly have his own agenda here, could he ?As for the gun registry guy, if you are charged by the government to manage an agency, then surely you have to follow the government line on it, in this case shut down the registry. Instead of simply administering the registry as he was hired to do, this guy has “reformed the program and lobbied forcefully, including before a parliamentary committee, for a continued long-gun registry, something the Conservative government has been determined to scrap.Cheliak’s key contribution has been to guide the country’s three main police alliances — the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police, the Canadian Police Association and the Canadian Association of Police Boards — into a common front to fight for registration.”.Seems to me another guy with his own agenda who is freelancing on the taxpayers nickel. I can accept that not every decision made by this government is the right one, but civil servants have a responsibility to carry out the government’s orders. It is up to the electorate to decide if those orders were right or wrong, not the unelected bureaucracy.

Canadians are ddanmeing that our left-plunging Prime Minister and Public Safety Minister stop making Canada the refugee/terrorists patsies and laughing stock of the world by refusing to invoke the powers pursuant to the Marine Transportation Security Act and, thereby order the other two terrorist laden ships away from Canada?Canadians are exceptionally uneasy by minister Toews’ comments affirming that although he was absolutely confident that terrorists were aboard the first ship, he would permit it to enter Canadian waters where these terrorists would have an opportunity to assault innocent Canadians, exploit our lax refuges policies, and tolerate them building and financing their terrorist network. Reports now indicate that this ship is owned, captained and crewed by Tamil Tiger terrorists and that two additional terrorists laden ships are incoming. Canadians are distraughtly eager for our left-plunging PM and Safety Minister to salvage their sanity, and exploit the above reference act, or other means, to turn these terrorists/illegal ships away!Mr. Toew’s pathetically unpersuasive contention pursuant to international commitments has many legitimately (as appose to Harper) tough on crime and terrorism Canadians suggesting that if these commitments do impede our sovereign right to combat terrorism then perhaps we should forgo these conventions and recapture our sovereignty, rather than allow Canada to be placed at risk! Other experts are professing that Canadian laws infinitely exceed any requirements pursuant to our international commitments; and therefore, Canadian refugee/immigrations laws must be reformed allowing our arm forces to protect Canadians against these terrorists and/or economic illegal immigrants. This is one more example, along with our left-plunging PM’s big government, big spending practices, why legitimate small-c conservatives will remain home next election day, only to call for a leadership convention in the weeks thereafter. The very fact that this terrorists ship was allowed to enter Canadian waters is one more indication as to how pitifully futile our left-plummeting PM has been since 2006 in fixing the immigration and refugees act.
